Re: [Avid-L2] 24 project to 23.976 output?

Export QT from your 24p timeline.
Import in a 23.98 project, after setting IgnoreQTframerate to ON in your console, then digital cut to tape. Audio needs to be handled separately - stripped from original clips,
tagged with the BWF re-stamp tool and Avid will alter duration to match upon import.

A friend of mine who runs a duplication facility has asked me a

question, and I'd like to confirm my instincts before I reply.

I'm led to believe that their client is on Media Composer, not Symphony.

The question:

A client we have is editing in True 24P and is outputting to Sony HDSR

in 24p.

Is there any possibility that the Show can Edit in 24p and have the

Final Output in 23.98??

My instinct says the answer is no. Anyone willing to weigh-in on this?

TIA,

Benjamin
