Re: [Avid-L2] MC Perpetual renewal Cyber Monday discount at Toolfarm

Thanks Chris, it's as clear as any business waters can be. ;). Glad to be subscribed for the year ahead.

And speaking of the year ahead, I'm looking (hoping) to migrate from my aging Intel MacBookPro to a new M3 MBP early in the New Year, like February. Hoping the end-of-year MC update will play well with M3. I know you guys are working on it. Cheers to that.

RE: New purchases vs renewals...

If you have a subscription license that is set to expire, and you purchased it from Avid directly, then you have an "Auto-Renewal" button in your MyAvid account. Just leave it on.

If you have a subscription you purchased from a reseller like Videoguys, Sweetwater, etc, then it won't have that button... because we can't legally force a reseller to make the renewal happen. So, you'll need to renew it through them.

In both of these situations though, you get to keep the same codes and numbers.

However, if you let the one license expire in order to get a new one, then yes, it'll be new and not a renewal.

Clear as mud? ;)
