The Canon XF plugin is essential to being able to link, and it is necessary to install. The MXF plugin is not necessary to install after MC version 6.5.

Thanks Mark. Alt dragging or going through the link menu give me the
same result which is, "Unable to link to any AMA clips..." I tried to
install the Canon Plugin but I get an error message saying that the
plugin is only for earlier versions of MC and is unnecessary. That's the
same as what the Avid website tells me. I can link to the individual
MXF files with no problem, which tells me that MC knows how to deal with
the files. I just haven't been able to get it to look through the
entire folder and grab them all. I appreciate your help. --J.B.
