[Avid-L2] viewing both fields in computer monitor

Job is 23.98, source was 29.97, and 25, both interlaced.
Final delivery is progressive quicktime.

Footage was AMA and transcoded in to a project matching the original frame rate of each clip and then bins moved in to this project.

I see two different results on two different avids when looking at the computer monitor.

One Avid shows both fields on the screen at the same time.
This is the desired view for us. (sometimes the source has edits, and if we aren't aware we will get a half frame flash if we don't cut away quick enough)
The other Avid seems to be showing only field one. (we can't tell if there will be a flash until after we have exported to quicktime).

All my avid systems are clones of each other, and I made sure to copy the user settings from one machine to the other to confirm it isn't that. (that's the theory anyways)

Does anyone know of a setting that might have gotten toggled on one of these machines that would affect the computer view like that?

Thanks,
Jeff
