Can you import color bars from the avid supporting files folder. Move something to the desktop and try to import that. I'm not sure why upgrading the OS would create the issue you are having but I'd start with importing something from the desktop and see if that works. If you are trying to import from your George drive that may for some reason have illegal characters or just to long of a path name. Worth a try.
