I have this happen all the time. It will crash unless I first open Avid FX and then from MC go into effect mode, park on the effected clip, and hit Launch Interface. Then I can close it and go back to MC and it works. Unfortunately, most of the time, I'm scrubbing the timeline to see what's up and boom, crash. That's how I know it's an AvidFX.
I'm on 7.0.3 Symphony, Mac OS 10.7.5, Avid FX 6.4On Wed, Oct 15, 2014 at 12:19 PM, bigfish@pacbell.net [Avid-L2] <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:
Good to know. Do you know which Avid version the offline was done on? I wonder if the bug is specific to a particular version of AvidFX.

The most recent version (posted days ago) of Red for Avid resolved this.
