Re: [Avid-L2] OTish: BBC and X

haha!! Wait, is not this the Avid L !?

A place where carping and smug comments
are always welcome!
A place where the stalwarts of Media Composer can freely
complain, unfettered, about their beloved and their reviled software applications?
I despise Final Cut X and always will,
not for what one can or cannot do with the application, but for it's very existence, regardless of my lack of knowledge.
Begone, bold defender of the app! Avid is listening and we shall be delivered our
Phrasefind and Script Sync and a real title tool
and the sweetest pan and scan for stills
and 4,5,6, nay 8K resolution independence!
And all will be right in the land.
For we are the proud and brave who have stood against those who would vanquish our software
and thus, WE have made Media Composer a better NLE and we will not stand DOWN!
I mean it. K? So, get outta here.

No, we're not switching again.  But, it annoys me to hear all of this carping and smug comments without knowledge of what's being criticized.

Organizations like the BBC or France's RTF aren't stupid.  They do their homework and make a decision based on facts. They've decided for them, for the kind of work they're doing it's the right tool for the job.
