I think if modifying a title from Avid it might get confused unless you quit first (onlŷ takes a moment). If making new titles, you can have many on the go at once ( a simple save just saves the Marquee title without media). I have observed dodgy levels in both TT and Marquee in some versions.

So I inherited some Marquee titles that were alarming, to me but more importantly to my scope. I found that it was the drop shadow that was set to RGB levels of "0" across the board. Changing them to 16 all the way around eliminated the luma gamut alarm. From this I assume that Marquee doesn't get the same RGB to 709 conversion like title tool does, is this correct.
Another quirk is that I found if I opened the same title twice the Avid crashed on saving the title back to a bin, the keyboard shortcut is "Cmd B" to save back to a bing, I had to look that up. If I open a different title after quiting Marquee I can save that one without a crash. It seems double opening is an issue or is it tied to not quitting Marquee in between. I'm on SNDX mac os 10.6.8 Ver. 5.5.4.
