RE: [Avid-L2] Copying Source File to Clip Name

Select the column (click it at the top where the name is and it should highlight the whole column) and hit ctrl+d or cmd+d on a mac.  This duplicates the column.  It should then bring up a dialog asking you which column you want to copy the info in to.  Choose the one you want and all the info should be copied from one column to the other.  It doesn't work with all columns, for example you won't be able to copy a column in to the tape column, for this you have to use the modify>set source command.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Copying Source File to Clip Name

I'm often having conform problems with batch imports with "new.1" extensions on clip names, or needing the .mov or .mxf extension in the clip name.   Is there a way to copy the source file column and paste it into the clip name and or tape column?

Thanks, Scott
