As a warning before anyone else orders one of these cards:

Align the connectors on the PCIe card with the slot on the system board, and then press down on the card until it is fully seated.
You must install the card into the correct PCIe socket for your workstation as indicated in the following list. The socket closest to the processor is socket 1.
HP Z820: PCIe socket 5
HP Z620: PCIe socket 3
HP Z420: PCIe socket 3
HP Z230: PCIe socket 4
