I've found "relink to AMA" to be pretty useless as a relink method. I posted on the forums about it but no one got back to me. Long story short, it won't let you relink a whole folder of clips at once but only one file at a time, having to select the clip you want, click ok, then select the next clip you want, click ok etc and work your way through the whole folder in this manner. Total waste of time.

In the situation you describe (I'm guessing QT files), I've had about 85% success with AMA Relink by doing the following:
1. Sort the clips in the bin by name so that they match the order of the clips you're trying to relink to.
2. Select all the clips in the bin.
3. When you do the relink, select _just the first clip_ in the folder (important: which should also be the first clip selected in your bin).
4. It seems then that it will auto-detect the others in order (in the way that importing an image sequence does).
5. YMMV . . . as I said, I've had about 85% success with this.
Hope that helps...

Instead of creating a new set of clips, as I expected, MC relinks the media to the existing clips! Woo-hoo! Presumably using the menu AMA Link command would work as well, but I have not yet tried this.
