Re: [Avid-L2] Color Correction and beyond...

How many people bought baselight for avid?"

The real question is "How many people would pay 500 for the Symphony option with a great color corrector?

While I still use Universal Mastering which brings some value, it only works with Nitris DX which I am guessing is not long for the world. So what value is there in the Symphony option?

On a straight forward business proposal, the answer to that would either justify or not justify the R&D development of the color corrector. I am guessing the number of users is higher than Avid believes.

On a not so straightforward business way of looking at it, does the lack of a better color corrector cost sales? As we move to Resolve for finishing, it no longer matters where you offline. How many MC sales will that cost? And then how many Isis sales will that lack of MC sales cost, and that I assume it where it really afters to Avid.
