My understanding at the show was that 3rd parties would be using the Connectivity Toolkit as a platform for adding innovative tools to Avid products, including the newly-named Artist Suite which includes Media Composer.  

I tried to find out if "smaller guys" with perpetual licences would be excluded from these new tools because the Toolkit seemed to only be integrated into the MediaCentral Platform -- but I could not get a straight answer.

Did anyone capture the details surrounding this question?
