Years of Film School both undergraduate and graduate and today I find myself color correcting a Cow Pie cutaway. Yes the pinnacle of my career. Now the Cow Pie shot is actually part of the story providing comedy and story development. With it's ubiquitous use I can't help but do my best to tweak the color for all it's worth. For my own sophomoric sense of humor I just have to use some secondaries to make the shot more impact-full and bring out all the comic goodness. This is where I'm finding the Symphony color correctors lack of advanced masking and multiple secondaries woefully inadequate. Now I'm not going to bother going out to Resolve for this but it came to me. Avid's color corrector can't even "Polish a Turd." I hope some of you members of the ACA group will bring this up to Avid management at the big NAB meeting. This $*!@ needs attention.
