Re: [Avid-L2] updating color effects extends timeline bug

Very weird problem. What if you duplicate the updated sequences?  Or move it to another bin?

Hi all,

I am currently grading a series of programmes on Symphony v7. The offlines have come from both MCv5 and MCv6.5 suites.
With some of the sequences once I start adding color corrections if I close and then reopen the sequence it says "this selection will be duplicated and the following effects will be updated:
Color correction effects"

Which I have seen before, however on looking at the new sequence it has sections where as much as 10seconds of freeze has been added to the timeline at different points throughout the sequence. This baffled me for a while, so I added a safe color layer on top so I could easily see where the gaps were being created.

The annoying thing is that even after the sequence has been updated, if I go to open it again it wants to update again!

So far I have narrowed the problem down to possibly being connected with legacy Freeze frame effects that have come from the offline (i.e. old fashioned Freeze frames rather than Timewarp FF).

Has anyone else come across this bug?

Nick
