This is from a client with a film they edited back in 2002. They now sold it and retransferred the film to HD. But they need the original project restored for the audio, then they will overcut the retransferred HD material.
I was able to recover the project and media from the old Avid driives. The bins and sequences opened up with no problem. Of course the media is now the issue.
Bob Russo at Avid has helped steer me in a direction:
"Avid build software that would (I believe) rewrap the clips so it was now OMFI. I long ago threw out all of those disks and they are now gone.
I did this for someone soon after I started at Avid. You wouldn't need an ABVB system, but just the software that was installed with the first v7 that would convert the files. But you would need a PPC Mac that had classic running so you could run this software. I did it back in the day in the VM that Apple had for classic on an OS X PPC G5."
Now I just need to find this little goodie.

Enter the "Way back" machine. Does anyone remember the name of the software that ran in OS9 to convert NuVista media to OMFI?
More importantly, does anyone have a copy?
