10.8.4 is not support, surprised it works for you.
I would try a new user setting and renaming (or deleting) your current Attic.

Where I'm working they have added a 2nd Unity Medianet file manager is 5.1.3. We are mac based running 5.5x. There are 12 fibre clients that appear to be working fine but they have added Imac based ethernet clients and there is an error message to the effect that they can't save to the unity attic.
