I would certainly agree that it's very important professionally to be as comfortable as possible on both platforms, and I can appreciate that there's a lot of excellent hardware value for money with PC platforms.

I could understand if one platform was faster, or more stable, but fashion? Oh please - it's a tool. Since Avid EOL'd their only decent finishing tool I'm considering moving to AD, and all their serious products run on Linux. Now I know absolutely zilch about Linux but there again I couldn't care less. All I want to know is what button I press to achieve a certain function. I'm completely platform agnostic when it comes to my tool of choice and it has always baffled me when I see editors who aren't. What's the problem that I'm missing?
