v5.5.4/v9.5.4 Launching 10/17/13 Avid Media Composer 5.5.4 (Mac and PC), Symphony 5.5.4 (Mac and PC) and NewsCutter 9.5.4 (PC) updates will launch publicly on the Download Center (password and login are required to access the Download Center). These maintenance updates are live today, October 17th, 2013 Who is Eligible: Customers running 5.5.x/9.5.x are eligible to download and install the updates. Fixes in 5.5.4/9.5.4: There are many fixes in this release so customers on 5.5.x/9.5.x should be encourage to upgrade. Important information The 5.5.4/9.5.4 releases are recommended for those customers who will need to exchange bins and projects created in v7/v11 who are still using 5.5.x/9.5.x. This release will launch with any software license or dongle valid for v6.5.x/10.5.x ReadMe: Customers should also be encouraged to download and scan the ReadMe so they know what is fixed. Full Installer: This release uses a "full" installer. You must uninstall any previous installed version before installing this one.
