Re: [Avid-L2] [OT] Resolve on ISIS 5K

Have you tried dual connection or even 10Gb connection (if your ISIS can support it). Dual connecting is the easiest way to increase bandwidth and potentially lower latency. Give your MacPro's 2nd ethernet port another IP and connect it.
For PC, you will need a dual port Intel card (or theoretically, another single port Intel 1000 card).

Also, make sure in your ISIS client app you modify your client type as Hi-res. Medium-res is the default.

Hi,

I'm thinking about to replace my symphony workflow with resolve for daily tv series, maybe someone could help me (or give a clue about a resolve-l2 list like this).

My first problem, resolve can't handle media folders with more than ~100 files. If I split them into couple of folders, it works (but still scanning a folder for couple of minutes). It's quite annoying, since we have 45min long episodes with lots of material.

But my main problem is, it seems like resolve's incompatible with ISIS 5k. Huge lags especially when switching between shots. If I copy the media onto the internal hdd, it works fine.

Using Z800, intel pro pt 1000 with gigabit connection, the media files are in dnxhd 120. Any idea, what could be the problem?

Thanks,
Joe

ps: any rumor about resolve will work with artist transport?
