I have the MC Color controller and take it over the Wave.
It takes time to get to know all the options but you do have more functions and I am hoping that with version 10 of resolve you will be able to map more or at least be able to do your own mapping.

Graphics cards - Do not waste your money on the 4000.
for a single card (no cubix) look at the 570 or the new 6xx series.
Or get some cards from Dave - MacVidcards http://www.ebay.com/sch/macvidcards/m.html

for cubix you can get few 680/690

if you are planning on doing Red media the red rocket will help in the trans-coding / exporting process. if you are planning on doing only HD resolve and few graphics cards can get you almost up to real time playback with 4-5 nodes.
