Don't let's forget that the Harding box is being used to ensure broadcast
content is safe.
It's not just flashes but geometric shapes and changes to them.
It may be a pain but now we know preventing exposure to the sort of content
the box identifies helps avoid epilepsy in those susceptible to it we're
obligated morally at the very least to do it right.
And before there's a march by those that claim those susceptible will suffer
it anyway we know that's not true. There's a vulnerable age and if they can
avoid triggers they can avoid it for the rest of their lives.
I'm just amazed that the guy who did the research then went on to devise the
specifications and then went on to sell the boxes and worse than that the
broadcasters all bought into it.
I can't imagine at some point in the future people will look back and be
amazed that as an industry it was allowed to happen.
Even most of the other tools that do PSE checking are just licensing the
Harding software to do it.
