I use MC 6.5 and ProTools 10.x. One of my plug-in manufactures (Cedar Audio, DNS One) has a new version of a plug-in in the AAX format. Its supposed to offer some advantages to ProTools, but I'm unsure if AVID MC also supports AAX ( the vendor is also unsure)
I often use DNS One as an RTAS plug right in MC to clean up noise on the dialog track.
What make this an issue is that Cedar Audio says if I update to AAX, their dongle is also updated and I can't go back to RTAS.
I've shot myself in the foot many times already. Does anyone have reliable information on AAZ plug-ins within AVID Media Composer?
