[Avid-L2] Re: Applying an effect to more than one clip in a timeline

 

Thanks Steve, I was wondering if it had something to do with the smart tools.

I have them toggled off. I couldn't get used to them after twenty years of doing it the other way.

I'll put them on and try it.

I don't remember the exact behavior, but I do remember it not working quite like I expected it to "in the old days" and the answer was that it STILL works the same as it used to, but you need to have a specific SmartTool selected... You can also use the smarttool to select and either shift-select or command/control select non-contiguous clips and apply the same effect to all of those selected clips in the timeline.
