I say:
This is happening anyway. Avid Sphere alone isn't doing that. But
if widely adopted, it could increase the pace of it. OTOH, it could
also increase the available field of work for freelance editors.
Think of it: a pool of editors equipped with Sphere-enabled Avids
could conceivably edit from their homes ANYTHING asked of them.
Thought about in this way, Sphere would increase demand for editors,
not eliminate them.
