i am also on 5.5, and the redcine-x transcode to DnxHD and then AMA worked fine for me. there is also a setup in redcine that allows you to do mxf + aaf files that will bring the files right into your avid bin, but i have had some issues with it not working on my system that others don't seem to experience, so check that out on your end - when it works it is great.
