[Avid-L2] Re: Halp... Import Color/Gamma Shift

Yes, you are totally right, that's the theory. I'm not saying 444 and 422 are the same that 0-255 and 16-235, I know it's different. And your answer should be correct.

But try to import an color checker (or any still picture codified in RGB 0-255) under the two import setting the RGB remap (that should be correct isn't ) and the 709 setting that doesn't touch the color is correct. Just comparing the original before and after importing.

I thought that's cause now Avid from V5 works with 444 and 422 so they changed as well the color mapping inside, but I might be wrong, it's just a thought based on experience.

About Ama, it's true that you could change the source setting but by default Avid should do it correctly (but sometimes you have to change, it's true)

Btw, thanks for the doc, I had it already and it's very clear, much more that the Avid setting information!
