Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Baselight Plug in for FCP

As a point of reference I've added a DeckLink SDI (US$300) and NVidia
GTX580 3GB (US$650) to my Z800 to get it up to scratch on Resolve (plus the
license cost obviously). Also an Avid Artist Color panel (US$1500). That's
alongside my Avid DX HBA card, FX3800 and 10Gb ethernet - In doing so, of
course, I've also made my Z800 no longer an Avid certified system (although
with no obvious ill effects yet).

And of course the workflow from Avid to Resolve is disruptive and
potentially problematic (unlike grading directly in the timeline with
Symphony, or potentially Baselight).

Obviously we've just made this investment to make Resolve a usable tool for
us, but I'll still be keeping a close eye on what FilmLight is doing with
this.
