I'd add to that workflow:
After AMA linking but before transcoding consider making sub clips of selects to reduce the transcode work. And use set source settings to do an initial pre grade adjustment. Then transcode.
also if you aren't monitoring in HD then tramscoding to an SD resolution makes review outputs of DVDs much faster. Also transcoding to SD allows an even low debeyer setting and faster transcoding. And finally relinking back at the end is simpler as you can direct the relink to HD content and it will ignore SD avid media and link to the HD AMA media.
