[Avid-L2] AAF and AMA linked files

 

I'm trying to create an AAF after using AMA linked files in MC 5.5. I am unable to consolidate because I get an error that there are foreign files. Alternatively, after deleting the video tracks I keep getting the error that I can't export an audio only AAF. MC insists on exporting an AAF with video, which then is a huge file. I tried deleting the video files after export, but the audio guys aren't able to get the AAF to link up. I was able to relink the AAF on my end, after re-opening MC, but the audio guys on Protools 9.0 aren't able to do it. Also, when I try to do an embed with the video, the file is bigger than 2GB.

So, I'm wondering how to get around this error about exporting the audio and video together? Ideally I think I need to export an audio only embedded AAF.

Audio guys are also saying Protools is giving them rendering errors.
