[Avid-L2] ProRes ingest - DNxHD exports - no video

 

Symphony 6.0.3 on Mac. If you have media that was natively ingested as ProRes and exists in the system as ProResMXF, you cannot render to DNxHD and export "same as source". The file is black and QT Player (X or 7) can't play it. Here's a matrix of what happens:

ProRes QT - ingested as ProRes MXF / rendered to ProRes /exported "sas" - video OK and QT Player plays it.

ProRes QT - ingested as ProRes MXF / rendered to DNxHD /exported "sas" - video black and QT Player seems no video (even with a single clip).

DNxHD QT - ingested as DNxHD MXF / rendered to DNxHD /exported "sas" - video OK and QT Player plays it.

So it looks like you either have to stay ProRes all the way or DNxHD all the way, but mixing codecs messes up the export.
