As you've probably read on the Avid forum thread, in order ro read or write
Quicktime movie files the 32bit Avid FX and Boris Red apps / plugins rely
on a Quicktime library which is not available to 64bit apps on Windows. At
this point there are no plans to try to implement that functionality in the
Avid FX / Boris Red 64 bit products. The 64bit Windows product supports
using moving video as AVIs, sequential numbered still graphics, and of
course up to 6 video tracks simultaneously from the Avid timeline.
I understand how not having QT support in 64bit on Windows can be a problem
to some users such as yourself, and at this point I am at least making sure
Boris hears those complaints so he is aware of them.
