In general, raw SATA drives are either hard to get or more expensive than before, due to the floods. I just checked Best Buy today, which used to have a good supply of Western Digitals and Seagates. All they had were WD Green and Blue drives and only the 5400RPM versions. Prices were 1.5 to 2X from a year ago. When you check online for anything raw in the 1TB-3TB 7200RPM variety (like WD Caviar Black), you find a lot of "out-of-stock" listings.
