Re: [Avid-L2] Apple Firewire 800 Limited to 2TB on external drive?

 

I think the issue could be with the controller or bridge chips in the
drive enclosure and not with FW800 or Apple's implementation. Or maybe
it's a firmware issue. I did a quick Google search to confirm, but
didn't find what I stumbled across a few weeks ago. So that's not much
to go on, but if you Googled around you can probably find an accurate
report on what's going on.

Sorry; not much help. But Benjamin (and others) are getting closer.
Hopefully someone here will fill you in with exactly what's going on.
But I think it's the HDX Avastor enclosure, and not the drive or the
Mac...
