I quite like the idea, but it would worry me to have to duplicate the number of files to keep track of on this particular production... also, I read the "if you aren't doing the finishing in Avid" to mean the proxies will not relink to the Log-C originals and online will need to be via EDL?

Thinking outside the box, I like it! I would need to check this against the Scratch+Smoke post route though, it needs to link back to original ProRes files.
