A few weeks back I posted that I had a producer judging looks to send to the network on their iPhone. Well today I surpassed that with a director in the bay holding up his droid or some such phone next to the panny 2600 broadcast monitor and saying it looks bluer on his phone and he wants the picture cool like that. Nothing wrong with wanting the picture cooler but clearly his perception has been totally influenced by watching countless review movies on his phone. It's like when clients come into online and says how come the pictures not all blue like it was off tape. This requires the explanation that white should usually be white and black black and that obviously they didn't properly white balance in the field. At least my wrist pad doubles as a softer way to bang my head repeatedly without lasting scars. ;-)
