Re: [Avid-L2] Autorun.inf on Unity workspaces?

Autorun.inf are not "natural". An application must generate them. You
likely have a virus/malware.
It might be benign, annoying or destructive.

If you drag and drop the file in to Notepad (inf files are basically
just text files) you will be able to see what application it is trying
to execute. You may need to disable hidden files to see the target exe
file. There are dozens of virus that uses autorun.inf to execute and
replicate itself.

I'm familiar with autoruns that happen when you mount a drive but I've been on macs for a while now so I haven't dealt with them. Is this just a generic pc disk thing or something that unity is creating. I seem to recall autorun.inf files were not on Terrablock volumes but when they got on a few it was do to a virus not the system. Not having any problem but would like to understand better.
