They let you leave Mark? You must be working for Saints or Angels. Leaving is for sissys according to most of the Post Supervisors I know. After all what could be more fun than sitting in a dark room with inadequate AC and yellow walls trying to color correct on a consumer plasma with a friggin Ultrascope. Thank God for a Tek scope to help out. I've yet to figure out what possible use the Black Level (light or dark) control could be used for. Dark yields blacks that require the setup to cranked to 100 from 50 just to see the pluge +3 step. And the way this Panny consumer monitor reacts to high contrast transitions and highlights is driving me batty. Not too mention the joy of rendering each Pan and Zoom TWICE so it's actually full rez and this is after the AE rendered all the Pan and Zooms without linking them to the stills so they all start out as black. Oh well I've strayed off topic just a bit here. Bet you can't guess who's on double shifts all this week and next.

A few of us tried a couple of years ago, but most of the venues we had access to were in the Valley, and a lot of users are over the hill, and working people are busy. But the LA FCP Users Group is always a big event - seems like we should try to get something going again for Avid. Now that they're opening up to 3rd Party support, it might be easier to attract multiple sponsors.
