Alan's experience matches mine. I've repeatedly tried Adobe's speech-to-text and enough of the words are wrong so as to completely change the sentence and it becomes nonsense. You spend as much time correcting as if you just did a human transcript.
Adobe's latest workflow in CS 5.5 is to use an actual transcription to reconcile the speech-to-text translation via Adobe Story. This way the electronic translation uses the correct matching words as keywords and interpolates the in-between data from the imported transcript.
