[Avid-L2] Re: OT: file copy program

The additional option of "No to all" has always been absent from the microsoft file copying utility. The secret trick is to press the shift key while clicking the "No" button. That works fine.

Many people already know the parallel trick with files Deletions. Sometimes you have the confidence to skip using the "Recycle Bin" as a safety backup. There is an easy way to delete your selected files fully, in one step. Hold the sift key while clicking the delete key (or while clicking the Delete selection in the context menu).

"Oddly enough..." the MSFT file copy tools have no intelligence, or pre-scanning for conflicts. I would prefer the copy utility to automatically assume that when the target file and origination files have the same size AND the same date... we do not need to bother with a responding to a prompting/confirmation dialog.
