Not quite. RSync compares files by modification date and size. A
corrupt file could be the same size and have the same metadata, but
RSync will spot this. To be sure, you need to checksum the files.
Theoretically, a corrupt file could pass a checksum test, but the odds
against it are fantastically huge, especially if you use SHA-1 checksums
rather than the more popular MD5.
