Well, aside from the issues of gentlemanly conduct by a certain large corporation, the real question is what is this large corporation unveiling -- not the particular venue.
I for one don't care what Apple comes out with. Yes, while many people have staked their livelihoods on certain professional tool sets, ultimately, they are just tools. And if you can't make money using any one or combination of the available tools, then you may not be long for this business anyway.
Let's say the next genus of FCP is just one giant button that says "Make Edit". Or let's say it's a completely re-coded, fully-fleshed out super duper uber pro Final Cut that does everything including part the Red Sea, cook you dinner, and give you a foot rub. Either way, aren't you still a post professional?
Because if it's the tool that makes you a post professional and not your creative and/or managerial experience and inspiration, well... anyway, let's just see what the darned thing is.

If you want to donate to Red Cross quake relief, you can do so through your cell phone. Text redcross to 90999 to make a $10 donation. It will be on your next cell bill.
