Check out 1 Beyond (SL10420). Under the table they are showing a field data wrangler package that is small, appears bomb-proof, customizable. Takes any combination of cards and transfers to two hard drives simultaneously with checksum verification and (if so desired) will transfer to LTO at the same time.
In the not a small booth category:
Saw the Dolby monitor and, although bigger, it doesn't touch the Sony OLED which was very impressive. The first flat panel that I would call reference grade.
Sony rolled out the FS100U, a roughly $6k camera with a large imager. It is a rather odd form factor, but tandem it with a NanoFlash and you've got a real camera (read non-DSLR) that can record very high resolution images for well under $10k in the format of your choice, records real audio, and takes a huge array of lenses.

I'm hoping L-2ers will post their finds to this thread so that others can get a chance to see things outside the box. I always find fun tools and connectors at the Techni Tool booth: Techni-Tool booth C9237

If you want to donate to Red Cross quake relief, you can do so through your cell phone. Text redcross to 90999 to make a $10 donation. It will be on your next cell bill.
