[Avid-L2] Coolest stuff at NAB

 

Here is my list:

OLED at Sony. They have the BVM at 25K (yeah right) but they also have the PVM at 6K! Less features, but it is still light years better than any LCD out there.

Blackmagic. Is there anything they can't make way cheaper than anyone else? This year they added small rack monitors and video switchers (or mixers for those of you across the pond). And since they are directly across aisle from Grass Valley, this was an interesting year.

SSD recorders. Several companies had them. Blackmagic has one that does Uncompressed only. www.atomos.com has one called Ninja. Which also does ProRes.
