[Avid-L2] "Avid at the SuperMeet--What Would You Do?

Hey everyone....

As some of you may know by all the buzz online today, Avid was expecting to participate at the Las Vegas Supermeet during NAB 2011. We had lined up the noted indie filmmaker, Kevin Smith, to talk to the FCP and Avid community at this event.

Unfortunately, the organizers of the event cancelled Kevin SmithÕs talk at the last minute.

Because there has been much speculation about this online today, I wanted to post this note and let the community know that we have posted a note to our Avid Inside Out Blog tonight regarding this situation.

Please know that we do have organized activities with Kevin that are unaffected by the SuperMeet including Kevin's main stage presentation on Tuesday at the booth, hosted by Matt Feury. We also have Kevin's participation with students on the John Lennon Bus--of which Avid is a primary sponsor.
