[Avid-L2] Re: 7D workflow Q

 

That was my suggestion, but they want to convert the material themselves. Would 2 conversions work as long as they had the same name? Use Compressor or Streamclip to make 1080i 59.94 QT and 720x480 29.97 QT. As long as they have the same file names, it seems like that may work. May need to do a test.

Ingest the 7D H264 files into Symphony via AMA into a 1080Psf/23.98 project. Spit out to tape via the Nitris hardware to HDCAM as 1080i/59.94, using the Nitris gear to add 3:2 pulldown. These are now your camera masters. Downconvert DV tapes for the client from the deck and conform from the HDCAM tapes in the future.
