The airspeed multi stream units have this AVC intra option on them, so by adding a hardware codec in to the nitris dx boxes it allows for an end to end workflow using AVC intra as the acquisition, editing and play out format. It is a very efficient codec storage wise and the quality is excellent. A lot of broadcasters will be very pleased to see this step forward. For everyday post scenarios I don't see a lot of traction though, unless there are projects coming in that are shooting on Pana cameras. Rumour is the AVC daughter board will roughly be around $2500.
