Interesting post Wes - I've done similar things with Photoshop scripting
(and to some extent After Effects). Not as simple as Motion with
'Automation' but it's pretty managable. I've also experimented with
scripting in Avid's Marquee tool (it's Python based) but sadly it's pretty
incomplete from a scripting perspective, and seems unlikely to be improved
anytime soon :(
