(check the names, I'm not 100% as I'm not in front of my edit machine)
Then you do a clean install - don't forget to include QuickTime 7 in the install options - and once done, place the 2 folders above in the same location.
It'll keep your QT Pro registration - btw it's not a hacker's tip, the info in the licence file is linked to your machine, so you can't give to a friend as it won't work on another Mac. ;-)

> Hadn't realized I'd have to upgrade the OS to 10.6.3 for MCsoft ver. 5 but oh well it's only $29.95. Curious if I upgrade the existing OS will I lose my QT Pro that came from an FCP 6 install? I plan to carbon copy clone before upgrading and maybe down the line try a ground up install. Is there any issue doing a ground up install from the upgrade disk?
