[Avid-L2] OT: PBS Workshops

Some of you know that I am a member of the Quality Group at PBS.  As part of our mission to improve the quality of our viewer's experience, we are creating a series of workshops that will be rolling out over the next year. They have been designed for the benefit of producers and technicians involved in all phases of creating and broadcasting PBS' programs.  The first will be held in San Francisco on June 8th and 9th.  

Presentations include:
-- Things You Can and Can't Fix in Post:  Acquisition Video (Mark Schubin, Emmy-award winning SMPTE Fellow)
-- Recording Media Options, Codecs and Containers (Dave MacCarn, WGBH)
-- There and Back Again: Acquiring, Posting, and Archiving File-based Media (Chris Fournelle, FRONTLINE)  
-- PBS Show Submission Demystified (Wendy Allen, PBS and other speakers)
-- Aspect ratio issues (Frank Graybill, WNET-Thirteen)
….And much more!

We designed the agenda with you and your team's needs in mind and will have opportunities for idea exchange, including the Workshop Mix and Mingle where participants and speakers get to network after the first day's presentations.
